12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Journaling has been proven to reduce stress, decrease depression, and strengthen neural connectivity of the brain. This two hour workshop introduces you to “The Journal Ladder,” an ingenious method created by journal therapist Kathleen Adams which helps therapists to choose the type of structured writing that is most likely to succeed with individual clients. Special attention will be paid to the James W. Pennebaker Paradigm for Trauma Release. This workshop offers at least seven techniques that you can immediately implement in therapy sessions for greater expression, self-regulation, and insight. Techniques will be demonstrated, sharing is optional, and no special writing skills are required.
